Furry Friends

Certified Dog and Family Pet Visitation Programs

Research shows that relationships with animals have a positive influence on health. Interacting with pets can lower blood pressure, reduce stress, decrease loneliness and enhance feelings of well-being. "Furry Friends" allows patients to experience the joy of a visiting pet, either their own or a dog certified for hospital visits. These two programs, both of which began in August of 2003, bring much pleasure to our patients.
