Robin C. Kopelman, MD, MPH, Associate Director of the WWC, is a board certified psychiatrist and has been providing on-site mental health care in obstetrics and gynecology since 2003. She completed both medical school and residency training at the University of Iowa. Her clinical interests include the treatment of mood disorders and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Dr. Kopelman has active research programs in the development of community-oriented maternal mental health and family mental health services.
Linda Madson, MD, is a general adult psychiatrist who joined the University in 2000. She sees patients in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic and the Women's Health Clinic. She is board certified in psychiatry and neurology. She has particular interests in mood disorders, women's issues, physician wellness, and medical education.
Stacey A. Pawlak, PhD, is a psychology resident at the Women’s Wellness and Counseling Service. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Memphis and completed her doctoral internship at The University of Iowa. Dr. Pawlak has been trained extensively in interpersonal psychotherapy and has worked with pregnant and postpartum women for more than eight years. Areas of clinical interest include program evaluation; gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues; and the therapeutic treatment of anxiety.
Scott Stuart, MD, Clinic Director, is a board certified psychiatrist who has been engaged in clinical work, education, and research in the area of perinatal psychiatry for the past two decades. He completed medical school at the University of Kansas, followed by residency training at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Stuart also completed a fellowship and master’s degree in preventive medicine at The University of Iowa. His clinical interests include the treatment of mood disorders and anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Dr. Stuart is active in research regarding the treatment of perinatal depression and anxiety with both medications and psychotherapy. |
