A written summary of a worker's medical condition and treatment plan (Patient
Status Report) is provided to the worker and employer through the Workers Health Clinic. At the patient's request, information about services received at the Clinic can be provided to his/her family physician.
In addition, Clinic staff members are available by telephone to answer patient
questions. Patients must have prior approval by workers' compensation for
non-emergent medical care outside UI Hospitals and Clinics for services such as
rehabilitation or physical therapy.
