Group Diabetes Self-Management Education
A family-centered program to help you learn how to take care of your diabetes. Topics include diabetes, nutrition, blood glucose monitoring, goal setting, foot care, and many more. Diabetes Prevention Program

Responding to Life’s Challenges: Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Prevention of Depression Relapse
An 8-week program to learn how to prevent depression relapse. Mondays, March 24 – May 12, 4-6 p.m. All-day session (part of eight-week program) is Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Cost: $900 (covered by many insurance plans). Responding to Life's Challenges: Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
An 8-week program to learn how to manage stress and chronic conditions.

Mindfulness meditation is the core of the program. Evidence indicates that participants often experience a reduction in physical and psychological symptoms, a greater ability to respond skillfully to challenges in their lives and a greater sense of well-being.
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program is sponsored by the Department of Psychiatry and UI Behavioral Health.
Take Charge of Your Health Workshop
A 6-week, 2.5 hrs/week, highly interactive Chronic Disease Self Management Program designed for people with chronic health conditions and/or people close to someone with chronic health conditions. Weekly goal setting, effective problem solving, improved communications, managing symptoms and medications, fitness, relaxation, healthy eating, and dealing with negative emotions are among the topics covered.
