Those who have any of the following are at-risk for developing diabetes: family member with diabetes, over-weight, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes during a pregnancy, delivered a baby that weighed over 9 lbs., polycystic ovarian syndrome, or are Native American, African American or Hispanic.
