The purpose of this course is to introduce key concepts about the Combined Business Office (CBO) application. Title: Introduction to the Combined Business Office for Clinics Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX or Introduction to IDX Inquiry Course Description: This course is designed for Clinic billing staff. The purpose of this course is to introduce key concepts about the Combined Business Office (CBO) application. Title: Charge Entry Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX or Introduction to IDX Inquiry Course Description: This course is designed for clinic staff entering hospital and physician charges. Title: ETC Check in & Check out Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX OR Introduction to IDX - Inquiry Course Description: This course is designed for registration staff working in the ETC. The purpose of this course is to introduce IDX functionality for checking patients in and out of the ETC. Participants will attend separately a course covering the full registration process Title: Registration Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX OR Introduction to IDX - Inquiry Course Description: This course is designed for staff performing patient registration. The objective of this course is to introduce IDX registration functionality, as well as financial status classification (FSC) and insurance concepts. Title: Introduction to IDX Course Prerequisites: None Course Description: This course is designed for a person currently using the Informm system to perform tasks related to registering, scheduling, and admitting patients, or patient accounting functions, who will be performing the same task(s) using the IDX System. The objective of this course is to introduce the IDX environment and functionality. Title: Bed Scheduling and PreAdmission Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX or Introduction to IDX Inquiry Course Description: This course is designed for clinic bed schedulers. The purpose of this course is to introduce IDX functionality for pre-admitting patients, as well as, requesting and reserving beds. Title: Service No Patient Visits and Vendor Visits Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX Course Description: This course is designed for UI Health Care departments or clinics that provide a service(s) such as marketing products that does not require the patient to be present at time of purchase. This course also discusses services that UI Health Care provides to other institutions or independent establishments that may or may not require the presence of the patient such as rendering a second diagnosis. Title: Clinic Check-in & Check-out Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX or Introduction to IDX Inquiry Course Description: This course is designed for clinic staff working in patient reception areas. The purpose of this course is to introduce the process for patient check-in/check-out and collection of co-payments. Title: Scheduling (Appointment Scheduling & Pre-admissions) Course Prerequisites: Introduction to IDX or Introduction to IDX Inquiry Course Description: This course is designed for clinic schedulers. The purpose of this course is to introduce IDX functionality for scheduling patient appointments and pre-admissions.
