Information for Faculty and Staff HCIS TrainingINFORMM Patient Record (IPR) Course DescriptionsIPR Display (61635)--- This class is a general overview of the information available in IPR. It includes the basic use of the buttons, located in the upper left of the screen, and the Application Director. The different methods (Number/Name, Unit, Clinic List, InBox, Personal List) of selecting patients are covered. You are also shown how to look up patient documentation and how to use the IPR browser. The Health Resume tab is discussed which shows the patient’s medication list, allergies, and immunizations history. You are shown where patient labs, pathology reports, radiology reports, peds growth charts, EKG reports, etc. are located. We also show how to create a Computerized Incident Report IPR Nursing (61673)--- This class contains all the information included in IPR Display. It also can include other ways to enter information into the electronic patient record. For most nurses it will show them how to enter medications, allergies, and immunizations for patients. It can also contain how to chart on a patient’s flowsheet (vitals and other nursing orders). For some nurses, phone contact training can be added on. Nurses can also be shown how to enter orders into IPR. Please be aware these are the basics and the class can be adjusted to fit the user needs. IPR Physician (61672)--- This class contains all the information included in IPR Display. We spend a great deal of time with Contact Summary how to write prescription, how to order immunizations, and how to do electronic order entry. Physicians also learn how to create and edit documentation within Contact Summary. They will also be shown how to manipulate their InBoxes. The OR Activities and Printed Reports tabs are discussed. Phone contact training can also be added to this class. Please be aware these are the basics and the class can be adjusted to fit the user needs.
