To find the agendas, please go to https://thepoint.healthcare.uiowa.edu/sites/HCIS-AdminApps/FASIDXWEB/default.aspx Can I attend only part of a class and receive security access? No. You will need to attend the entire class to get security access. If part of a class is missed due to an emergency, please re-register for and attend a future session. What classes will be needed for a new employee? This type of listing is currently under development. To obtain the basic security access, each user must attend either the Introduction to IDX or Introduction to IDX/Inquiry class. Attendance in one of these courses will grant the user his/her user IDX and password. For additional security access, other classes will need to be taken. For example, the typical new employee in the Joint Office of Patient Financial Services (the business office) will need Introduction to IDX and Introduction to CBO for PFS. What is the difference between “Introduction to IDX” and “Introduction to IDX/Inquiry”? The Introduction to IDX class is designed for typical users who will be going on to attend more classes to get more security access. The Introduction to IDX/Inquiry class is for administrative personnel that need access to the inquiry functions, but do not need more access than that. What is the difference between “Introduction to CBO for PFS” and Introduction to CBO for Clinics”? Introduction to CBO for PFS is for staff members from the Joint Office for Patient Financial Services and covers the topics faced by the Patient Account Representatives on a daily basis. Introduction to CBO for Clinics is for any clinical staff member that has a need to inquire about the financial aspects of a patient’s visit.
