Infection Prevention
Aebry Caughron of Waterloo, born 15 weeks early weighing 1 lb. 8 oz (670 grams), went home weeks before her due date aided in part by never developing a central line-associated blood stream infection. She will come for a clinic visit today (Nov. 19) at 11 a.m. The NICU has gone more than 365 days without a central line infection.
Kid Captain
Chloe Dardis, 14, of Carroll, Iowa, will serve as the honorary Kid Captain for the Hawkeyes’ game on Saturday with Minnesota. Despite her challenges, Chloe maintains a positive attitude and is an enthusiastic Hawkeye fan.
