Conveniences at UI Hospitals and Clinics

ATM and Banking Services
Automated teller machines are located within UI Hospitals and Clinics. Look for ATMs in the Fountain Lobby; near Elevator A in the Boyd Tower lobby; on Level One in the West Pappajohn vestibule, and on Level One near the Eye Institute in Pomerantz Family Pavilion.

Mailboxes and Stamps
Mailboxes can be found in the Fountain Lobby near the Java House, near Elevator J, and near Elevator L, all on Level One. Stamps are available at Wild Rose Gifts in the Main Entrance Lobby.

Beauty Salon
Hair care services and products (Aveda, Kendra, Biolage) are available weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted. For an appointment, call 6-1996 (356-1996 off campus). The salon is on the Fourth Level near Elevator BE.

Newspapers
Newspapers can be purchased at Wild Rose Books in the Main Entrance Lobby or from vending machines in Pomerantz Family Pavilion, Level One.

Wild Rose Gifts
Wild Rose Gifts is located in the Main Entrance Lobby. You'll find toys, gifts, greeting cards, flowers, magazines, paperback books, stamps, and other items. The shop is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 6-4322 (356-4322 off campus) for more information.

Patient and Visitor Activities Center
This center offers a refreshment kiosk and rooftop lounge for patients and guests, a patients' library, a medical museum, art exhibits, and a multipurpose room. Take Elevator F to the Eighth Level and follow the signs.

Children's Play Areas
The University of Iowa Children's Hospital Playcourt is a popular feature used by many families visiting UI Hospitals and Clinics.

This large, accessible playcourt is located outside on the First Level between the John Colloton and Pappajohn pavilions. The playcourt includes age-specific play areas for toddlers, preschoolers, and older children. The area includes an accessible swing, interactive play panels, a basketball court, a covered picnic pavilion, a grassy play area, and benches.
