About Your Statement
Your University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics statement has a new look. We have redesigned your monthly statement to make it clearer, simpler, and cleaner.

Your statement has two sections: the Monthly Statement Summary and the Account Detail.
The Monthly Statement section summarizes all basic account information, including:
- Previous account balance
- New patient responsibility
- Payments and adjustments
- Amount due
The Account Detail section describes the services provided in the billing statement, including:
- Specific charges
- Adjustments
- Insurance claim number
The Account Detail page notes all payments received in the past month. The new balance includes any additional charges since your last statement. You are responsible for all charges listed on the Account Detail.
