Patient and visitor parking is available in Hospital Parking Ramps 1, 2, 3, and 4. These ramps are open all day, every day. For questions or to check on current parking fees, please call the Information Desk at 6-2456 from a hospital phone or 319-356-2456.
Inpatients and their visitors pay daily or they can purchase a seven-day parking pass at the Main Entrance Information Desk Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; or at the Ramp 2 Office Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
If you are visiting an inpatient and you park in a ramp between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m., ask the inpatient nursing unit clerk about receiving a “parking waiver” to avoid additional fees.
Free parking is available for one car per patient for clinic visits only. Please bring the parking ramp ticket to the clinic receptionist to receive a sticker.
Valet Parking
Valet parking is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays at the Main Entrance and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the Pomerantz Family Pavilion entrance on Level 1. Pay for valet parking at the Main Entrance Information Desk or the Pomerantz Family Pavilion Information Desk on Level 1. Discounted Seven-Day Parking Ramp Pass
A discounted Seven-Day Parking Ramp Pass is available exclusively for UI Hospitals and Clinics inpatients and their guests. The pass is valid in Ramps 1, 2, 3, 4 and the Dental Visitors Lot and accommodates the parking needs of patients staying at the hospital for an extended period of time. The pass can be purchased at:
- Main Entrance Information Desk, Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.; weekends 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Pomerantz Family Pavilion Information Desk, Level 1, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Parking Ramp 2 Office Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
