Visiting Hours


Family members and friends are welcome to visit during your child’s hospitalization. In general, the following guidelines apply throughout UI Children’s Hospital:

  • Friends and family members may onlyvisit your child when the parents are present, unless the parents or guardians tell us differently.
  • All visitors are asked to comply with unit guidelines regarding infection control.
  • The number of visitors in a patient’s room may be limited for the child’s comfort and safety.
  • Visitors should respect the privacy of other patients and not ask staff members for information about other patients.
  • Children under the age of 14 must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
  • The hospital is secured from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Your friends and family will enter and exit from the Main Entrance door.
