Special Communication Needs


Oral interpretation and written translation services are provided to non-English speaking and hearing-impaired patients and their families.

For non-English speakers or for patients and visitors with hearing impairments, interpretation and translation services are available through the Department of Social Service. To arrange for this service, please call 319-356-1967 at least 24 hours in advance, if possible.

For information about Text Telephones (TTD/TTY), call 319-356-1616 or 319-356-4999. Assistive hearing devices are also available. Clinic staff will be happy to assist you upon your arrival.
