Supplementary Services
Hand Therapy
Services are available for acute, chronic, and post-surgical hand and upper extremity conditions/dysfunctions. These services are provided by, or under the supervision of, a certified hand therapist. Static/dynamic splinting, exercise, job modification, and modalities are available.

Orthopaedic Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is available for the entire range of orthopaedic conditions/dysfunctions. Services are provided for congenital, traumatic, overuse, rheumatological, and degenerative conditions.

Physical Therapy for the Burn Patient
Physical therapy is one component of a multidisciplinary team specifically trained to manage the burned patient. Physical therapy incorporates splinting, exercise, general conditioning, and the use of compressive garments to optimize function and minimize scarring.

Sports Related Injuries/Dysfunction
Physical therapy is available for sports related injuries/dysfunctions of acute or chronic nature. Services are provided by, or under the direction of, a physical therapist with advanced certification in sports medicine.

Temporal Mandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunctions
Physical therapy assessment of the TMJ is provided as a component of a comprehensive evaluation provided through the Department of Oral Surgery. Available physical therapy includes modalities, exercise, splinting, and behavior modification.
