UI Behavioral Health
UI Behavioral Health encompasses a broad range of mental health
and chemical dependency services delivered by an interdisciplinary
team across a wide array of settings. UI Behavioral Health offers
emergency and consultation services 24 hours a day. Inpatient
services are provided at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
In addition to inpatient care, UI Behavioral Health offers
extensive outpatient services for children and adults including
partial hospitalization, rehabilitation services, outreach services
to nursing homes, in-school services, employee assistance programs
and telemedicine.
Current Behavioral Health projects include:
- Behavioral health services customized to specific payor and
beneficiary requirements
- Employer-based employee assistance programs
- Outreach services to mental health centers
- Senior care outreach service to nursing homes and other
facilities
The goal of UI Behavioral Health is to continually assess Iowa's
behavioral health needs and build a continuum of services to meet the
