National Hospital Week celebrates the gifted people at UI Hospitals and Clinics who follow "A Calling to Care," the theme of this year's recognition week.
UI Hospitals and Clinics is a place of compassion and care. This comes from our people. It is their kindness, talent, and attention to duty that keeps the focus on patient-centered care. The staff reaches out and touches the lives of patients and families, making what they do more than just a job - it is a calling.
Each day the people who work here fill the corridors and rooms with warmth and understanding. In big ways, and not such big ways, the unique skills and giving spirit of these people produce the wonders of care. They make a difference and contribute to the cause of healing. They are an important part of our success and of our future.
UI Hospitals and Clinics Service Leadership Council has coordinated activities this week for faculty and staff throughout the hospital, including an old-fashioned ice cream social.
