UI Sports Medicine Center to
Tell Supplement Truths

Specialists with the UI Sports Medicine Center will present a free seminar on the use of supplements by athletes for strength-building and conditioning on Thursday, August 4, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the UI Sports Medicine Center at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Presenters include UI Sports Medicine experts Chris Doyle, strength and conditioning coach for the Iowa Hawkeye football team, and Paul Baumert, M.D., consultant with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and a UI team physician.

The panel will field question from the audience and cover topics such as:

  • Overview of supplements
  • Sports supplements - what is legal?
  • How to combine supplements with exercise
  • What you can, should, and should not use

Tailored for athletes, coaches, and parents, this seminar will include a question-and-answer session. Because space is limited, organizers recommend that you register for this free seminar by calling UI Health Access at 319-384-8442 or 800-777-8442.
