"Our goal is to provide world-class treatment and then develop a care plan with the referring provider so that follow-up care can take place back home. We embrace a family-centered care philosophy that involves parents at every step. Our new state-of-the art hospital facilities are child-friendly and designed to have parents close by throughout the hospital stay." MIX 96 Program Director Jim O'Hara said, "Our station is so centered around Quad City families, we can't imagine a better cause than the Children's Miracle Network and University of Iowa Children's Hospital. We're excited to lend our support!" Children's Miracle Network has a membership of 170 children's hospitals nationwide. University of Iowa Children's Hospital joined Children's Miracle Network in l984. Since then, more than $21 million has been raised to enhance the lives of hospitalized children and their families.
