STAR 102.5 of Des Moines will broadcast live from University of Iowa Children's Hospital at UI Hospitals and Clinics during the station's eighth annual Star 102.5 Radiothon Wednesday through Friday, May 24-26, in the Atrium Lobby. The STAR102.5 broadcast team will share the stories of patients, parents and staff at University of Iowa Children's Hospital. "We are very pleased to be able to come to Iowa City and once again help our listeners learn more about the outstanding care that is provided at University of Iowa Children's Hospital", said Bill Wells, STAR102.5 vice president and general manager. Ken Auge, STAR102.5 morning host, will help lead the radiothon team. "I truly look forward to this very special event," Auge said. "We meet very inspiring families that always move us with their courage and strength." Radiothon proceeds help create new programs for children and support ongoing research, enhancements to patient stays through services such as pain management and patient education. "We are deeply grateful to STAR102.5 for their support of our patients and families," added Michael Artman, MD, physician-in-chief of University of Iowa Children's Hospital. "We take care of the sickest children in the state and region, and the team at STAR102.5 helps us provide the most advanced, family-centered care possible."
