UI Sports Medicine Center Offers
Sports Physicals in North Liberty


Specialists form the UI Sports Medicine Center will offer physical examinations for high school athletes on June 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. at UI Family Care-North Liberty, 3 Lions Drive, North Liberty. To make an appointment for a sports physical, call 319-626-5680.

"Sports physicals help us spot issues before they become problems," said Britt Marcussen, MD, a family practice physician at UI Family Care-North Liberty and a member of the UI Sports Medicine team.

A sports physical is required for participation in Iowa high school and junior high athletics. A cash payment of $25 is due at the time of the appointment with proceeds donated to area athletic departments.

UI Sports Medicine brings together physicians who have treated professional and competitive athletes at every level in a clinic built on the philosophy of complete, efficient and effective service. The UI Sports Medicine Center offers diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation for all active-minded people.

Physicians from UI Sports Medicine treat athletes in the NBA and Major League Baseball, as well as serving as the primary and orthopaedic physicians for the Hawkeyes.
