University of Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz will be a featured speaker at the Hawkeye Football Children's Miracle Network Kickoff Luncheon, at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, at the University Athletic Club, 1360 Melrose Avenue, Iowa City. Seating is limited, but tickets are still available. To order the $25-per-person tickets, call Children's Miracle Network at 319-335-8484, or order online. Proceeds from the event will benefit patients and their families of University of Iowa Children's Hospital and its outreach clinics across the state. Donations to Children's Miracle Network remain in the local region to benefit critically ill and injured children. More than 140,000 children receive care from the pediatric specialists at University of Iowa Children's Hospital and its statewide network of clinics each year. Children's Miracle Network is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for 170 children's hospitals throughout North America. To date, 135 radio stations and 200 television stations help solicit donations to help support critically ill and injured children.
