University of Iowa Children's Hospital http://www.uihealthcare.com and Outback Steakhouse have joined to offer an evening of music, fun and food to benefit patients and families who receive care at University of Iowa Children's Hospital within University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The event will be held Saturday evening, September 9, along the banks of the Iowa River.

Ticket orders and sponsorship opportunities are available online or by calling Lisa Baum at 319-335-8447. Tickets will be available through Thursday, August 31.

The Rockin' on the River celebration will be the first public event for the campus in a newly designed space along the riverfront on The Terrace at the Iowa Memorial Union.

Singer-songwriter Gayla Drake, with Eric Douglas, will perform during the cocktail hour from 6 to 7 p.m. Outback Steakhouse will provide a steak buffet, and Bob Dorr and the Blue Band will set the musical tone for dancing after dinner. Co-sponsors include Mediacom and Quality Care, the Nature Care Company. All proceeds benefit University of Iowa Children's Hospital.
