Ferentz to Headline Kickoff
Luncheon for UI Children's Hospital


University of Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz will be a featured speaker at the Hawkeye Football Kickoff Luncheon benefiting University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Wednesday, August 29, beginning at 11:45 a.m. at the University Athletic Club, 1360 Melrose Avenue, Iowa City.

Eleven-year-old Alex Moen of Iowa City will join Ferentz to share his story about the care he received at UI Children's Hospital.

Seating is limited, but tickets remain available at a cost of $30 per person. To order tickets, call Children's Miracle Network at 319-335-8484.

Proceeds from the event will benefit patients and their families receiving care at UI Children's Hospital. UI Children's Hospital serves children and their families at its main campus in Iowa City and satellite clinics in communities throughout Iowa. A 180-bed "hospital within a hospital," UI Children's Hospital benefits from the sophisticated services and comprehensive resources of UI Hospitals and Clinics. Child magazine ranks UI Children's Hospital among the top 20 children's hospitals in the nation.

Children's Miracle Network is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for 170 children's hospitals throughout North America. Some 135 radio stations and 200 television stations help solicit donations to help support critically ill and injured children.
