A community open house for the UI Women's Health Center is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, in the Pomerantz Family Pavilion, Level 3. Parking is available in ramps 2 or 4.

Visitors can tour the more than 35,000-square-foot facility, which includes additional ultrasound rooms, an array of state-of-the-art equipment, as well as an expanded reception area.

Additional tours of the nearby internal medicine specialty clinics, along with bone densitometry, phlebotomy intake, and pulmonary and interventional testing, which also opened this summer, will also be available.

UI Women's Health encompasses a multitude of services, including:

• Primary care through obstetrics and gynecology, family medicine and internal medicine
• The full spectrum of obstetric and gynecology specialty care from experts recognized in their field
• One of the nation's leading reproductive medicine and endocrinology programs serving couples facing infertility issues
• The contemporary, yet homelike UI Maternity Center
• Services of special interest to women, including:
  • UI Heart and Vascular Center
  • UI Breast Health
  • Women's Wellness and Counseling

The facility represents the completion of a $39.6 million project that also includes a new Ambulatory Surgery Center, Dermatology Clinic, Medicine Specialty Clinics, Pulmonary Diagnostic and Interventional Services Area, Bone Densitometry and a Phlebotomy Intake Station.
