Change Starts Right Here and Now with the Infinite Power of You

What if you could be more powerful than cancer?

What if you had the power to make the difference for someone facing cancer?

What if you could help speed progress on life-saving treatments and protocols?

The Cancer Research Alliance (CRA), 12 of the best cancer centers in the world together, including Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, is asking all 303 million Americans to exercise their power over cancer by stepping up and donating $1 to cancer research efforts this Mother’s Day through Father’s Day.

The "Infinite Power of One™" campaign has two key goals:

  • To encourage Americans to take matters into their own hands and exercise their collective power over cancer
  • To raise much needed dollars to accelerate innovative cancer research at the participating cancer centers

The public can join the "Infinite Power of One™" campaign by visiting the campaign’s sponsor, Celebrations.com http://www.celebrations.com/ between May 11and  June 15 to donate.  After donating, each person will be asked to add his or her own photo to the "Infinite Power of One" Healing Mosaic to celebrate the power one person and one dollar can make.

The Cancer Research Alliance is comprised of 12 of the nation’s best cancer centers.  Each one is a NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center – the highest distinction bestowed by the National Cancer Institute.

"This is truly an exciting time for the Cancer Research Alliance," said Chairperson Bridget Brennan.  "By engaging all Americans in the Infinite Power of One™ campaign, we know we can galvanize the public to make change and celebrate the power we have as a society to make a positive impact on our health. The CRA will use the funds generated from this campaign to accelerate research that is less invasive, more targeted, more personal and more powerful."

"Celebrations.com and 1-800-FLOWERS http://ww11.1800flowers.com/welcome.do is proud to sponsor the Infinite Power of One™ campaign," said Seth Lasser of Celebrations.com. "We are excited to join with Americans to celebrate the infinite power we can have on this serious health issue when we join together as a society, take action and accelerate change.

The Cancer Research Alliance was founded in 2006 as a way to unite the nation’s leading cancer centers in national outreach campaigns to accelerate promising cancer research initiatives at the participating institutions.

The Cancer Research Alliance (CRA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of 12 of the nation’s top cancer centers.
