For the second consecutive year, UI Dance Marathon students raised more than $1 million--$1,030,428 to be exact.

The 15th UI Dance Marathon was held Friday and Saturday, February 6 and 7, in the Main Ballroom at the Iowa Memorial Union.

More than 800 patients and family members cared for at University of Iowa Children's Hospital joined 1,320 dancers for the event. One of the many highlights was the "graduation" of 15 children who are celebrating being cancer-free for at least five years.

UI Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropic event in the nation. Over the past 15 years, UI Dance Marathon has raised more than $7.5 million to support pediatric oncology patients and their families.w
