Ten UI Hospitals and Clinics nurses have been named among the'100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2010.
Nurses selected for this honor represent many sectors of health care, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and school and office nurses. More than 470 nurses from across the state were nominated.
The top 100 will be honored May 6 at an event sponsored by UI College of Nursing, The Iowa Nurses Association, Iowa Nurses Foundation, and Iowa Hospital Association. This will be the sixth anniversary of recognizing 100 Great Iowa Nurses.
Those recognized this year from UI Hospitals and Clinics are:

- Cindi Dahnke, RN, BSN, ASP-N
- Diane Eastman, RN, BSN, MA, ARNP, CPNP
- Melissa Gross, RHN, BSN, CNRN, FCCS
- Maria Lofgren, MSN, ARNP, NNP-BC, CPNP
- Jennifer Long, RN
- Toni Mueller, RN, MSN, CCRN
- Rosemary Noyes, RN
- Jennifer Off, RN, OCN
- Anne M. Smith, MSN, RN, ASP-S

"Their skill, leadership, and commitment to caring for patients and families are invaluable assets to Iowans."
The total number of nurses from UI Hospitals and Clinics who have received this recognition over the past six years now stands at 72.
