- Hear how researchers at the UI are working together to find new treatments and cures for cystic fibrosis, cancer, blinding eye diseases and other disorders.
- Learn how the UI's new Pappajohn Institute is bringing researchers together in a new way to find treatments and cures.
- Learn how the UI Carver College of Medicine is revolutionizing the way medicine is taught.
The Iowa City Mini Medical School will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on the four Tuesdays in April-April 6, 13, 20, and 27-at the UI Carver College of Medicine Medical Education and Research Facility, Prem Sahai Auditorium.
The Mini Medical School is designed for anyone who is curious about current issues in medicine and science. A science or medical background is not needed to participate.
Space is limited, and reservations will be taken on a first come-first served basis. Please register by calling 877-MED-IOWA. The cost is $5 for all four sessions.
