The public is invited to the grand opening for University of Iowa Health Care - River Crossing from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24. The clinic is located at 3056 River Crossing Court, near Riverside, at the southeast corner of Highways 218 and 22. The facility also includes a retail pharmacy and optical shop.
The event will include tours of the new 7,600 square-foot facility, refreshments and activities including:
- Tour of UI AirCare helicopter
- Prize drawings from local businesses
- Chances for children to win free bike helmets
- Appearance by Perky, the UI Children's Hospital mascot
Members of the 15-person advisory committee from Lone Tree, Riverside and the surrounding community will be recognized for their valuable role in planning the new facility.
UI Health Care - River Crossing offers:
- Primary care services from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Pharmacy services from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday
- Optical services, including eye exams, lenses (including contacts) and frames, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Friday
