University of Iowa Health Care leaders announced today that the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of has again achieved high rankings for several professional programs from US News & World Report.
The magazine released its annual listing of the top professional programs at universities and colleges across the nation. The UI Carver College of Medicine is ranked in the following categories:
- Physician Assistant Program - 1
- Physical Therapy - 5
- Primary Care - 10
- Research - 27
"We are pleased that our professional programs have received national attention for their outstanding quality," said Jean Robillard, MD, UI vice president for medical affairs. "Being so highly ranked in multiple programs is a testament to strength our academic medical center.
"These rankings reflect our commitment to educating the next generation of health care professionals, with a special emphasis on research and working together in multidisciplinary teams to focus all of our abilities on caring for patients," said Paul Rothman, MD, dean, UI Carver College of Medicine.
