UI Women's Health Offers Preeclampsia Programs
June 3 and 4


Mark Santillan, MD, a maternal fetal medicine specialist with University of Iowa Women's Health, and Lauren Larsen, a preeclampsia survivor, will discuss preeclampsia at two events.

A free, public presentation, "Understanding Preeclampsia: During Pregnancy and Beyond," will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, in room 2117 of the UI's Medical Education and Research Facility. A day-long Continuing Medical Education (CME) course, "Preeclampsia: From Bench to Bedside," will be held Friday, June 4, at hotelVetro Conference Center in Iowa City. You can register online.

Preeclampsia is a blood pressure disorder that can occur during pregnancy and have immediate and lifelong effects on mother and baby.
