Pediatric Dialysis Center will Open in September 2010

The Pediatric Dialysis Center at UI Children’s Hospital, located on the third flood of General Hospital between Elevators A and B, will be open for patients beginning September 2010.

The new center—the only dedicated pediatric dialysis unit in Iowa—can accommodate up to four patients at a time.

Construction of the new area was made possible with the support of Walmart and Sam’s Club, whose associates raised and donated $400,000 for the project through Children’s Miracle Network.
