Hall of Fame Coach Hayden Fry Heads Prostate Cancer Fund

When legendary Hawkeye football coach Hayden Fry faced prostate cancer, he turned to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. Now, the Department of Urology and Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at UI have announced a $10 million campaign to fund the J. Hayden Fry Center for Prostate Cancer Research. The Center will be devoted to the research and clinical treatment of patients with prostate cancer. Fry, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, is serving as team leader in helping UI researchers discover a cure and more effective treatment for patients with prostate cancer. To learn more about the J. Hayden Fry Center for Prostate Cancer Research, contact Carol Jefferson at 800-648-6973 or e-mail carol-jefferson@uiowa.edu.
