The 2007 "Best Doctors in America®" database—a Web-based resource that links consumers with expert medical care—includes 487 individual Iowa physicians, 270 of whom practice at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and UI Children's Hospital.

Furthermore, 297 of the state's 487 Best Doctors had one or more of medical education experience through the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine
