Exercise isn’t a dirty word, although you can get dirty if you exercise. Exercise doesn’t have to mean complicated machines or smelly gym socks. Exercise comes in all shapes and forms, just like people. “Select an exercise that you enjoy,” says Mike Shaffer, UI Sports Medicine physical therapist and athletic trainer. “If you don’t enjoy an exercise you’re less likely to continue long enough to see the benefi ts. Getting started is the hardest part. Make it easy on yourself by selecting something you enjoy.”
