What is enough sleep?
Dr. Mark Dyken says it
depends on the person.

You should treat sleep with respect
Society doesn't treat sleep with very much respect. You steal from your sleep hours to add extra hours for activities. The number of hours the average person sleeps has been reduced by 20 percent in the past century. Society has changed, but your body's need for sleep has not. The "work" sleep does for you at night is vital for you to function at your best during the day.

Are you miserable?
If you're sneezing and wheezing, got a stuffy nose and itchy, watery eyes, you may be one of 36 million Americans who suffer from hay fever. There is no cure, but there is help.

Do your heart a favor
Early detection has always been a key factor in helping reduce the impact of heart disease. Advancements in medical technology have redefined how soon doctors can detect indications of coronary artery disease. Today, a 30-second coronary calcification scan can detect calcification in your arteries, a portent of atherosclerosis.

Is laser surgery the answer?
The key to success with lasers is using the right laser for the job, like using right tool or kitchen appliance for the job. Would you use your coffee maker to make toast? The same is true for lasers.

Interaction alert
With the increased use of herbal remedies, comes a problem that could have serious consequences for you. Some herbal remedies have no side effects or show no interactions with other drugs or remedies. But some do, and that is the problem.
