In
the United States from 1993 to 1998:

The percentage of AIDS in whites is down from 60 percent to 33 percent; in
blacks it is up from 25 percent to 45 percent. The incidence in Hispanics
remains about the same at 20 percent.
In
the United States in 1998:

There were approximately 250,000 cases of HIV in men and 55,000 cases in women.

There were approximately 120,000 whites, 120,000 blacks, and 50,000 Hispanics
living with AIDS.

The number of men with AIDS per 100,000 population includes whites 18, blacks
125, Hispanics 58, Asian/Pacific Islander 9, and American Indian/Alaska native
16.

The number of women with AIDS per 100,000 population includes whites 2, blacks
50, and Hispanics 17, Asian/Pacific Islander 1, and American Indian/Alaska
native 4.
