Chicken In A Pot

2 pounds chicken breasts, without skin 2 stalks celery, chopped
1 pound chicken drumsticks, without skin 1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
2 medium carrots, sliced 1 teaspoon salt
2 medium onions, chopped 1/2 cup non-fat chicken broth *
  1 teaspoon basil
  1. Put carrots, onions and celery in bottom of crockpot. Add chicken pieces. Top with salt, pepper, and chicken broth. Sprinkle basil over top.
  2. Cover and cook on low 7-10 hours, or on high* for 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours.
* If cooked on high use 1 cup liquid.
