1 pound ground beef 1-2 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 cups potatoes, peeled, cubed 1/4 cup water
1 cup carrots, sliced 1/2 cup raisins
1 cup sweet peas 1 green bell pepper, sliced
3 cloves garlic 1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, chopped 2 Tablespoons olive oil
1/8 teaspoon salt 1 can tomato sauce (optional)
1/8 teaspoon pepper  
  1. In a deep skillet, brown garlic, onion, and bell peppers in the olive oil. Then add the ground beef, potatoes, carrots, peas and raisins.
  2. Season with soy sauce, salt and pepper. Add 1/4 cup water and simmer covered until vegetables are tender. Add tomato sauce, if desired.
  3. Serve with rice.
Note: Eva says, "One of my brother-in-laws does not like raisins, but he ate this kind of dish."
