Sweet and Sour Beef

12 ounces sirloin steak, trimmed of fat, cubed 1/2 cup catsup
2 Tablespoons flour 1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon olive oil 1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup water 8 medium carrots, sliced diagonally
  2 medium green peppers, sliced
  1. Combine flour, salt and pepper in a paper bag. Add cubed sirloin and shake to cover well.
  2. In a nonstick fry pan, add olive oil until it is hot. Add beef cubes and brown on all sides.
  3. Combine water, catsup, brown sugar, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir mixture into skillet with the beef. Add onion and carrots. Cover and cook on low for 45 minutes or until carrots are tender. Add green pepper slices and warm through.
  4. Serve over rice.
