Frozen Cole Slaw

1 medium head cabbage, chopped 1 carrot, chopped
1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup water
3 ribs celery, chopped 1 cup white vinegar
1/2 green pepper, chopped 2 cups sugar
1 small onion, chopped 1 teaspoon celery seed
  1. After chopping cabbage, sprinkle with salt. Let stand 1 hour. Drain and discard juice.
  2. Combine with other chopped vegetables.
  3. In saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil; let boil 1 minute. Cool and mix with vegetables.
  4. Put in freezer containers and freeze.
  5. Remove several hours before serving.
  6. Drain before serving.
