Broccoli Raisin Salad–Modified **

1 bunch broccoli, cut into florets

1/2 cup raisins

2 Tablespoons red onion, chopped

2/3 cup nonfat ranch salad dressing

2 Tablespoons sunflower seeds

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients. Chill for 2-3 hours.
  2. Add sunflower seeds just prior to serving.

Calories: 65 Saturated Fat: 0.1 gm
Carbohydrate: 12 gm Fiber: 0.9 gm
Cholesterol: 0 mg Protein: 1 gm
Fat: 1 gm Sodium: 204 mg

** If you do as the author suggested and use ranch dressing (nonfat type), the fat content is much lower. It is even lower in fat if you reduce the amount of sunflower seeds.
