The major diagnostic feature in JP patients is the presence of multiple juvenile polyps. Individuals with JP may at some point in their lifetime notice some degree of rectal bleeding and/or anemia. Other symptoms to be aware of are abdominal pain, a change in bowel habits (such as constipation, diarrhea), or change in stool size, shape, and/or color. If you note any of these signs or symptoms or have any questions or concerns, contact your physician.
