Low White Blood Counts (Neutropenia)

Red Blood Cell Count (RBC)— counts the number of red blood cells in a single drop of blood.
  • Men: 4.5 - 6.2 million
  • Women 4.2 - 5.4 million

Hemoglobin— measures the grams of hemoglobin in a deciliter of blood.

  • Men: 13.2 - 17.7 gram/dl
  • Women: 11.9 - 15.5 gram/dl

Hematocrit— measures the percentage of red blood cells in blood sample.

  • Men: 40 - 52 percent
  • Women35 - 47 percent

White Blood Cell Count (WBC)— measures the number of white blood cells in a drop of blood Normal value: 3,700 - 10,500.

WBC differential— this test determines the percentage of each type of white blood cell in the sample.
