Low White Blood Counts (Neutropenia)

The low white blood cell count is from cancer treatment. There is really nothing you can do to prevent the blood counts from being low. There are things you can do to protect yourself from the effects of a low white count. For certain patients a medication may be used to reduce the degree of neutropenia or speed the resolution of neutropenia after chemotherapy.
