After obtaining the necessary imaging studies, the treatment planning team develops an individualized plan to fulfill the treatment goals. Overall the goal includes sending a high dose of radiation to the tumor and at the same time sparing the normal tissues. Treatment planning will take place after your imaging studies, but prior to your first treatment.
