Black Midnight Cake
From the recipe collection of Marsha
 
2/3 cup shortening
1 2/3 cup sugar substitute (such as Sugar Twin®)
3 eggs
2 1/4  cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/3 cup cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
 
Cream shortening and sugar.   Add eggs and vanilla.  Beat well.  Add dry ingredients and water.  Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.  Pour into 9 x 13” greased and floured pan.  Bake at 350oF for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
