Pronation of the forefoot will not correct the supination and adduction of the midfoot and of the calcaneus. The calcaneus will remain locked in adduction under the talus and the midfoot and forefoot will be twisted into eversion leading to increased cavus and to a "bean-shaped foot" deformity.
