Right: The foot is further abducted and the supination decreased but without pronating the foot.
Left: To stretch the middle tarsal ligaments the foot is abducted to 70 degrees. Note that the heel is not grasped by the hand thus allowing the calcaneus to abduct with the foot and the heel varus to correct.
